About

Lukas graduated from Charles University in Prague in 2012 with M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics. Subsequently, he completed his Ph.D. in 2018 at University College London, where he worked with Frank Deppisch. Following his first postdoc at Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg working with Manfred Lindner, he joined N3AS at the University of California San Diego with local mentors George Fuller and Tongyan Lin.

Lukas’ research concentrates on particle and astroparticle physics beyond the Standard Model. He works on different topics ranging from effective field theories to gauge extensions of the Standard Model, and from nuclear beta decays and neutrino phenomenology to particle cosmology, including stochastic gravitational wave signals and baryon asymmetry of the Universe.
