Jeff completed his Ph.D. in 2017 at Northwestern University, where he worked with André de Gouvêa on neutrino and dark matter phenomenology.

After his first postdoc at Virginia Tech working with Patrick Huber, Jeff joined N3AS in 2019, spending two years at the University of Kentucky with Susan Gardner, then moving to the Institute for Nuclear Theory, University of Washington. In 2022 he returned to the Virginia Tech.  Jeff is currently a staff member Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Jeff’s primary research interests include various aspects of neutrino phenomenology. He has worked on understanding how reactor antineutrinos fit into the broader neutrino landscape, including (1) their compatibility with cosmology regarding sterile neutrinos, and (2) how other kinds of new physics could appear in these experiments. He is also interested in the physics of dark matter, particularly as it relates to neutrino masses and interactions.
