About

Pedro earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Arizona in 2021, under the supervision of Vasileios Paschalidis. He is stationed at Penn State within the N3AS Collaboration Network, with David Radice as faculty host.

Before his time at the University of Arizona, Pedro completed a B.Sc. in Physics at Fordham University in The Bronx, NY. His research interests include the use of numerical relativity to understand compact objects such as neutron stars. His primary research focus has been on the properties of binary neutron star merger remnants, including understanding the effects of rotation, the dense matter equation of state, and magnetic fields on the post-merger environment. He is also interested in understanding r-process nucleosynthesis in compact object mergers with the use of numerical methods.
